Paradise Valley Route 2024
120 Mile Route
The 120 mile route begins near the community of East Gate, British Columbia, and finishes in iconic E.C. Manning Provincial Park on the shore of Lightning Lake. The course is 124 Miles long, incorporating a point-to-point style route with cumulative elevation gain of approximately 26,000 feet or 8000 meters. The majority of the course is run on very remote technical single track trail where you can experience the solitude of the Canadian wilderness. Much of the course is far from road access and will take you through some of the absolute most scenic parts of southwestern British Columbia. You will travel from valley bottoms up into high sub-alpine terrain with many panoramic views along the way. There are 4 distinct climbs, including the highest peak in the Park, Frosty Mountain. The course has less than 10% pavement with the rest run on dirt and single track trail. For full details, see the updated race guide.
There are two minor creek crossings without bridges (no current, maximum a few feet deep) on the Dewdney Trail, between Tulameen Aid Station and Hope Pass Aid Station. Recommend shoe change at Hope Pass Aid station.
